Reconor is one of Northern Europe’s leading companies within waste and soil management. The group operates an extensive business where collection, transportation, sorting, recycling, and material handling take place critically every single day. It is a complex reality involving many processes, systems, and people. Large volumes of materials move through the organization, and decisions regarding logistics, capacity, resources, and operations must be made continuously - and have a direct impact on operations, finances, and environmental footprint. Reconor actively works to transform resources into something that can be reused and integrated into new contexts - not as a theoretical goal, but as a practical part of daily operations. For a business of this scale, access to reliable data and continuous insights is therefore not a “nice to have,” but a fundamental prerequisite for making the right decisions in everyday operations.
Challanges
Data existed - but coherence and overview were lacking.
In Reconor’s day-to-day operations, decisions are constantly made regarding planning, capacity, logistics, and resources. These decisions rely on information from many different sources: order systems, financial systems, operational data, machine data, and manual registrations. The challenge was not a lack of information - quite the opposite. The information already existed, but it was scattered across systems and workflows. This made it difficult to gain a consolidated overview and identify connections across the business - especially when decisions needed to be made quickly. At the same time, Reconor wanted to better utilize historical data and ongoing updates to understand operational patterns, anticipate challenges, and plan more effectively going forward. This required a shared foundation where data could be consolidated, structured, and made accessible in a way that made sense in daily operations. To enable a more systematic and coherent approach, Reconor partnered with Codellent to establish a unified data platform as the foundation for insights, analytics, and automation across the group.

Codellent supported Reconor through several phases to establish a single, unified data platform that now serves as a shared foundation across the group. The platform consolidates information from Reconor’s existing systems, including operations, finance, and logistics. Instead of data residing in separate silos, it is now unified, structured, and made accessible in a common model that reflects Reconor’s actual business. This means users work from the same foundation - whether they are responsible for planning, capacity, resources, or reporting. Insights can be shared across the organization, and decisions can be made based on a common overview and reliable data. The data platform is also designed to evolve continuously. New data sources, reports, and analyses can be added as the business develops, and the platform supports both automation and the application of AI where it provides practical value. The technology has been selected with a focus on stability and scalability, but the solution is first and foremost designed to fit into Reconor’s daily operations and be usable by those working closest to day-to-day activities.
