Challenge
HBK is in major global ERP-transformation aligning the processes and infrastructure across different business areas, domains and countries. When the core source of truth changes, every connected process, data point and analytics model is impacted. For HBK this meant that a new data strategy and data architecture were needed to capture the value of the new ERP-system and create a foundation for future data usage.
To create the best possible recommendation and roadmap for the Target Data Architecture in HBK an overall Data Strategy were needed. A strategy formed by business strategy and vision covering both as-is data landscape as well as end-user and business entity needs.
Solution
To include both existing as-is technical landscape and data products (data, datasets, dashboards, AI-models etc.) as well as understanding existing business and end-user pain points, the TCO-analysis and data strategy were executed in parallel due to the dependencies and timeline.
Overall Codellent delivered on:
Develop and implement a new Data & Analytics Strategy
Pre-analysis with Total-Cost-of-Ownership on selection of the new Data Architecture technology
Project Management and hands-on implementation of the new data architecture with new data models and DevOps
Manage, operate and align existing data landscape while developing new data models and analysis in parallel
The Result
The project has provided large parts of the HBK organization with data insights to take the best possible decisions while also transitioning into the new data architecture being implemented.
All of this have been done while keeping the lights on of the existing setup, working with business clarifications from the ongoing ERP-project and re-defining the ways-of-working in parallel.
