Challenge
In a knowledge-intensive law firm, information and insight are critical. For Kielberg, the challenge was that many years of case data and legal knowledge were only used to a limited extent in daily work and decision-making processes.
The ambition was clear and the ideas were many, but there was a lack of a unified direction for digitization, data, and AI. Kielberg needed an overview that could bring together initiatives across complexity, technical dependencies, investments, and expected business value. Without a shared strategy, it was difficult to prioritize and launch the right initiatives—at the right time and for the right reasons.
Solution
In collaboration with Codellent, digitization was positioned as a strategic driver of Kielberg’s business. The work was centered around the development of a prioritized digital roadmap, in which 13 concrete data and AI initiatives were assessed and prioritized based on business potential, risk, technical dependencies, timeframe, and investment level.
In parallel, a secure and scalable data and AI foundation was established, consolidating and activating information across systems, folders, and tools. On this basis, modern AI tools were developed to support both administrative processes and case management. These tools make existing knowledge easier to find and reuse, while also contributing to more automated and coherent workflows in everyday operations.
The Result
Today, Kielberg has a solid digital foundation and AI tools that serve as assets for employees, management, and the business as a whole.
The result is not just new technology, but a tangible improvement in case handling. Employees now have better tools that free up time for highly specialized legal advisory work, while management has gained a stronger foundation for prioritizing and further developing the digital agenda. At the same time, Kielberg has established a robust platform for continuing to work with data and AI in a way that delivers real, practical value.
