Introduction

Strengthening advisory services and business through targeted digitalization.

Kielberg Advokater is one of the largest law firms in Southern Denmark, advising both companies and private clients across a wide range of legal disciplines - including corporate law, real estate transactions, family and inheritance law, restructuring and insolvency, litigation, M&A, and construction law. As a modern law firm, Kielberg has a clear ambition to use digital tools more strategically across processes and workflows to improve the quality of advisory services, increase productivity in daily work, and create greater value for both clients and employees.

Challanges

A large volume of knowledge - but no unified direction for utilizing it.

In a knowledge-intensive law firm, information and insights are critical. For Kielberg, the challenge was that many years of case data and legal knowledge were only used to a limited extent in daily work and decision-making processes. The ambition was clear, and ideas were plentiful, but there was no overall direction for digitalization, data, and AI. Kielberg needed a consolidated overview that could align initiatives across complexity, technical dependencies, investments, and expected business value. Without a shared strategy, it was difficult to prioritize and initiate the right initiatives - at the right time and for the right reasons.

The Solution

A strategic direction and a shared foundation for data and AI.

In collaboration with Codellent, digitalization was positioned as a strategic driver within Kielberg’s business. The work began with the development of a prioritized digital roadmap, where 13 specific data and AI initiatives were assessed and prioritized based on business potential, risk, technical dependencies, timeline, and investment level. In parallel, a secure and scalable data and AI foundation was established to consolidate and activate information across systems, folders, and tools. Based on this, modern AI tools were developed to support both administrative processes and case handling. These tools make existing knowledge easier to find and reuse, while also contributing to more automated and coherent workflows in daily operations.

Final thoughts

From scattered knowledge to value-creating digital tools in everyday work.

From scattered knowledge to value-creating digital tools in everyday work.

Today, Kielberg has a strong digital foundation and AI tools that serve as a valuable asset for employees, management, and the business as a whole. The result is not just new technology, but a tangible improvement in case handling. Employees now have better tools that free up time for highly specialized legal advisory, while management has gained a stronger foundation for prioritizing and further developing digital initiatives. At the same time, Kielberg has established a robust foundation for continuing to work with data and AI in a way that delivers practical value.
